His diplomatic carrier started in 1995 in the area of security policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic. Later, he led the NATO section of the Security Policy Department (2001 to 2004). From 2019 he worked as a Head of the East Asia and Pacific Section and from 2021 as a Director for Asia, Pacific and Latin America of the Political Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.

His previous diplomatic postings include First Political Counsellor at the EU Delegation in Seoul (2015 to 2019), Southeast Asia Division and Deputy Head of ASEM Team of the newly established European External Action Service (2011 to 2015), Policy Planning and Early Warning Unit of Javier Solana at the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU in Brussels (2008 to 2011), Deputy Ambassador to the Political and Security Committee at the Permanent Representation of the Slovak Republic to the European Union in Brussels (2004 to 2008) and 3rd Diplomatic Secretary at the Slovak Mission to NATO in Brussels (1998 to 2001).  

He is married, with two children. He speaks English, French, and Czech languages, he can communicate in Russian language, and he is beginner in Korean language.

Born in Košice, Slovakia, where he graduated at the Technical University. In 2003-2008 he studied at the Faculty of international relations, Economic University in Bratislava and in 2005 he graduated at the Faculty of G. C. Marshall of Strategic studies and defense economics in Germany. ​​​​​​
