Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár held negotiations with Visegrad Group (V4) foreign affairs ministers in Prague today. After the joint session the ministers of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland agreed that V4 is still functional and the partners can cooperate on topics such as the European Union´s migration policy, enlargement of the Union as well as energy infrastructure.

On 23 January 2024, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Chovanec received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Slovakia Rudolf Jindrák. The meeting confirmed that the Czech Republic is Slovakia's closest neighbour, strategic partner, and ally on a wide range of issues, one of which also includes the agenda of economic cooperation.

Today, 21 December 2023, the chief Slovak diplomat sent a telegram of condolences to the Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský.

This trip to the Czech Republic, as is tradition, was his first bilateral foreign visit since taking office.

Miroslav Wlachovský, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, delivered his remarks at the Forum 2000 conference in Prague, on 16 October 2023. On July 2023 in Rust, Austria, State Secretary of the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry Peter Mišík met with the Slavkov format (S3) partners - Peter Launsky-Tieffenthal, Secretary General of Austria´s Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, and Jaroslav Kurfürst, Director General of the Europe Section of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Czech Republic. The meeting was held at the invitation of our Austria partner after Austria took over the S3 Presidency from Slovakia on 1 July 2023. It also included adoption of the S3 work plan for the upcoming year.

Concert. to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Slovak diplomacy – a gala event of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic took place in the Winter Riding Hall of Bratislava Castle on Thursday, 29 June 2023.

On 24 June, the Slovak Republic commemorates the Day of Remembrance and Respect to Victims of the Communist Regime - all those wrongly convicted and imprisoned between 1948 and 1989. On this date, 24 June 1954, a doctor, political prisoner and Catholic dissident Silvester Krčméry was unjustly convicted of alleged treason, after being tortured.

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Wlachovský held negotiations with his counterpart, Foreign Affairs Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský in Prague on Friday, 19 May 2023. This was the first foreign trip by the chief Slovak diplomat since taking office, thus following tradition, while at the same time also emphasizing the importance of the above-standard relations and strategic importance of the close partnership between Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Káčer held talks with his Czech counterpart, Foreign Affairs Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský, at Šimák Castle in Pezinok on Tuesday, 31 January 2023. The partners discussed the development of bilateral and regional cooperation as well as the international security situation with regards to the Russian aggression in Ukraine.

We are commemorating the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Czechoslovak Republic as an independent state. The creation of the common state on 28 October 1918 marked the social upsurge of the Czechs and Slovaks. We were now one of the democratic countries joining the modern international order. Our united country had a progressive constitution, one of the most advanced economies, and was one of the first countries in the world to grant women the right to vote.

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Káčer paid an official visit to the Czech Republic on Monday, 3 October 2022. This was his first bilateral foreign trip since he has taken his office, which, traditionally, has always been to Prague.

On Monday 20 June Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ivan Korčok met with partners from the Slavkov cooperation format - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský and Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Alexander Schallenberg.

Štátna tajomníčka Ministerstva zahraničných vecí SR Ingrid Brocková rokovala 3. mája 2022 s mimoriadnym a splnomocneným veľvyslancom Českej republiky v Slovenskej republike Tomášom Tuhým.

Minister zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR Ivan Korčok prijal v pondelok, 31. januára 2022, ministra pre európske záležitosti ČR Mikuláša Beka. Jeho prvá zahraničná bilaterálna cesta nadväzuje na návštevy nových českých ústavných činiteľov v decembri minulého a v januári tohto roka.

Minister zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR Ivan Korčok sa v pondelok 17. januára 2022 v Bratislave, stretol s predsedníčkou Poslaneckej snemovne Parlamentu ČR Markétou Pekarovou Adamovou, ktorá je na Slovensku na svojej prvej oficiálnej zahraničnej ceste.

Minister zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR Ivan Korčok privítal dnes (20. decembra 2021) v Bratislave českého rezortného partnera Jana Lipavského. „Česko je naším najbližším susedom, spája nás spoločná história, ktorá robí naše vzájomné vzťahy unikátnymi. Rozhovory potvrdili naše odhodlanie ich kultivovať a pestovať,“ zdôraznil minister Korčok po stretnutí s novovymenovaným českým ministrom zahraničných vecí, ktorého prvá pracovná zahraničná cesta už tradične smerovala na Slovensko.

Štátna tajomníčka Ministerstva zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí Slovenskej republiky Ingrid Brocková dnes (30. novembra 2021) spoločne s veľvyslancom SR v Českej republike Rastislavom Káčerom, spoluzakladateľkou spoločnosti Sensoneo Andreou Basilovou, riaditeľkou Kempelenovho inštitútu inteligentných technológií Máriou Bielikovou a zakladateľkou firmy Matsuko, víťazkou ocenenia European Tech Women Awards 2020 Máriou Virčíkovou diskutovala na podujatí Hospodárskych novín na tému Ženy inovátorky.

Minister zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR Ivan Korčok si v stredu 17. novembra na pražskej Národnej triede položením kvetov uctil pamiatku dnešného štátneho sviatku Čechov a Slovákov - Dňa boja za slobodu a demokraciu. Šéf slovenskej diplomacie pricestoval do Prahy na pozvanie neziskovej organizácie Post Bellum, ktorá už dvadsať rokov vyhľadáva a zbiera spomienky pamätníkov totalít 20. storočia.

„Slavkovský formát (S3) jasne preukazuje svoju praktickú hodnotu a naďalej uľahčuje vzájomné porozumenie v dôležitých európskych otázkach. V tejto súvislosti považujeme za správny krok napríklad aj naše odhodlanie ešte viac prispievať k postupnému približovaniu krajín západného Balkánu k Európskej únii (EÚ). Zhodli sme sa, že z hľadiska kontinuity a konzistentnosti v tejto téme patria práve štáty formátu S3 k najuveriteľnejším, čo zvyšuje kredibilitu tejto regionálnej platformy.“

Minister zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR Ivan Korčok prijal v utorok (7. septembra 2021) delegáciu Výboru pre zahraničné veci, obranu a bezpečnosť Senátu Parlamentu Českej republiky vedenú predsedom Pavlom Fischerom. Českí senátori absolvujú pracovnú cestu na Slovensku na pozvanie Národnej rady SR.

Minister zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí Slovenskej republiky Ivan Korčok zaslal dnes (4. augusta 2021) v súvislosti s tragickou vlakovou nehodou v Plzenskom kraji sústrastný telegram ministrovi zahraničných vecí Českej republiky Jakubovi Kulhánkovi. „S hlbokou ľútosťou som prijal správu o zrážke vlakov v Plzenskom kraji, ktorá si vyžiadala minimálne tri obete na ľudských životoch a desiatkam ľudí spôsobila zranenia,“ uviedol v telegrame minister I. Korčok. Šéf slovenskej diplomacie vyjadril súcit s ranenými, ako aj úprimnú sústrasť pozostalým, ktorí pri tejto tragickej udalosti utrpeli nenahraditeľnú stratu.
