Generálny konzul
Mr. Juraj Siváček is with the Slovak Foreign Service since 1992.
During his diplomatic career, he served as a diplomat in the United States of America and as a Deputy Head of Mission at the Slovak Embassy in Tel Aviv. As the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic, he worked in Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Ukraine.
At the headquarters, he held positions of the Director of the Second Territorial Department (relations with neighbouring states), the Director General of the Personal Office and twice the Secretary General of the Ministry.
He has been working in the current position of the Consul General in Saint Petersburg since 1st of August 2023.
Before the current posting, he was the Ambassador-at-Large for Energy Security and a member of the Subcommittee of the Security Council of the Slovak Republic for Energy Security.
Juraj Siváček is married and has two daughters.
He is a graduate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation with specialization in international relations.
He speaks English, Russian and Finnish.
He is the holder of the Chatam Sofer Medal of the Museum of Jewish Culture in Bratislava.
