Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár held negotiations with Visegrad Group (V4) foreign affairs ministers in Prague today. After the joint session the ministers of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland agreed that V4 is still functional and the partners can cooperate on topics such as the European Union´s migration policy, enlargement of the Union as well as energy infrastructure.

On 23 January 2024, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Chovanec received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Slovakia Rudolf Jindrák. The meeting confirmed that the Czech Republic is Slovakia's closest neighbour, strategic partner, and ally on a wide range of issues, one of which also includes the agenda of economic cooperation.
Today, 21 December 2023, the chief Slovak diplomat sent a telegram of condolences to the Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Chovanec, attended the international conference Visegrad 4 Business in Prague on 28 November 2023.
Juraj Blanár, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, visited the Czech Republic today (24 November 2023), where he accompanied Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico during his first bilateral trip abroad.
On 13 November 2023, the Government of the Slovak Republic approved its manifesto.
