The Slovak Republic will help provide approximately 60 tonnes of skimmed milk powder for children during the difficult humanitarian situation in Cuba. Today (10 April 2024), the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Juraj Blanár, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba, Rafael Paulin Pino Bécquer, informing him that Slovakia will send a financial contribution of 200 thousand euros to the World Food Programme of the United Nations for the purchase of powdered milk on Monday.

At their meeting on Wednesday (6 March 2024), the Government of the Slovak Republic approved the document called “Focus of Slovak Bilateral Development Cooperation for 2024”. This year's activities of Slovak development cooperation will focus on humanitarian and development projects, education, sending volunteers and support through subsidy grants. The Government has allocated EUR 21.7 million for implementation of the approved concept.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Chovanec, received the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Slovakia Gabriella Sancisi on 23 January 2024. The meeting confirmed the mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation, particularly in the fields of energy, the use of nuclear power, smart solutions and construction.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Chovanec received representatives of Slovak non-government development organizations, associated in the Ambrela platform, in Bratislava on 8 December 2023.

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár approved the financial contribution valued at EUR 750 thousand for the purchase of two Božena 4+ demining systems designed for humanitarian demining in Ukraine. The agreement on providing the financial contribution to purchase the systems was signed by the director of the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation Tomáš Bokor and the Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovakia Myroslav Kastran on Friday, 8 December.

State Secretary of the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry Rastislav Chovanec opened the SlovakAid Development Summit in Bratislava on 9 November 2023.

On 4 and 5 September 2023, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, attended an informal meeting of the Development Segment of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Cádiz, Spain.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, and Carsten Staur, Permanent Chair of the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD/DAC), co-chaired the traditional "Tidewater" format in Bratislava on 28-29 June 2023. The discussions, attended by more than 30 senior representatives of the Committee, covered reforms of financial institutions, achieving the 2030 Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals, and scaling up the delivery of development assistance at times of military conflict and other crises.

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Wlachovský visited refugee camps in the Beqaa valley in the Syrian-Lebanese borders during his working visit to the Lebanese Republic on Thursday, 15 June 2023. In cooperation with non-governmental organizations Slovakia has successfully carried out SlovakAid humanitarian projects for several years there.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, and Carsten Staur, Chair of the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD’s DAC), addressed a joint meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Committee on European Affairs of the National Council of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava on 25 April 2023.

On 16 March 2023, the 14th annual Slovak Volunteer Awards took place at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava, Slovakia, under the title Srdce na dlani (Heart-in-Hand) Award 2022. Ján Jaňák, who spent several months last year working at a vocational training centre in the village of Kybakadde in Uganda, received the award for SlovakAid Volunteer.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková attended an Informal Meeting of EU development ministers of the Foreign Affairs Council in Stockholm on 8 and 9 March 2023. The meeting was organised by the European External Action Service together with the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.

On 28th February 2023, the closing event of the SlovakAid project “Strengthening good governance by promoting transparency, digitisation and social inclusion in southern Moldova" took place in Comrat.

On 28 February 2023, Slovakia sent 500,040 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from BioNTech-Pfizer to Kazakhstan. The provision of vaccines with a total value of EUR 9,750,780 was carried out based on a request from Kazakhstan.

Slovakia dispatched a government plane with humanitarian aid weighing almost 6 tons on 1 March 2023. This will help people in Syria to alleviate the consequences of the disastrous earthquake that hit the country at the beginning of February.

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Káčer informed the public that in response to the series of earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria, the Slovak Republic provided a contribution of EUR 100 thousand to the World Health Organization (WHO) today, 10 February 2023. This is Slovakia´s first ever contribution to the WHO's Contingency Fund for Emergencies.

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Rastislav Káčer, confirmed that Slovakia contributed almost 27,000 euro to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development to establish an analytical department for Ukraine at the beginning of January.

On Thursday, 8 December 2022, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková chaired a meeting of the Coordination Committee (CC) for Development Cooperation of the Slovak Republic, at the premises of the Foreign Ministry. The members of the committee assessed the prospects for the Slovak Republic's development cooperation for the year 2023 and also how it's been implemented in 2022, which has been mostly affected by the events in Ukraine.

On 26 October 2022, a kick-off event for the delegated cooperation project "EU Support For Local Media Outlets in the Republic of Moldova" took place in Chisinau.

On 12 October, Ambassador Pavol Ivan attended the launch of the Energy Vulnerability Fund, which will allow citizens to register for a system that redistributes financial compensation for increased energy bill prices.

On 14 and 15 June 2022, Ingrid Brocková, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, participated in an informal meeting of ministers of the OECD Development Assistance Committee member countries, a meeting that is referred to, for historical reasons, as "Tidewater".

Today (7 June 2022), the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Karol Galek, briefed the Ambassadors of the EU and NATO Member States on assistance and political support to Ukraine.

Organizácia pre hospodársku spoluprácu a rozvoj 12. apríla 2022 zverejnila predbežné štatistiky o oficiálnej rozvojovej pomoci (ODA), ktorú poskytli v roku 2021 donori združení vo Výbore OECD pre rozvojovú pomoc.

Skupina ministrov zahraničných vecí európskych a ďalších krajín a predstaviteľov medzinárodných organizácií sa 5. apríla 2022 zišla v Berlíne na pozvanie Nemecka, Francúzska a Rumunska vo formáte takzvanej Platformy na podporu Moldavska.

Štátna tajomníčka Ministerstva zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí Slovenskej republiky Ingrid Brocková pokračovala v pracovnej ceste v Keni rokovaním s Carole Kariuki, generálnou riaditeľkou Združenia podnikateľov Kene a Fatmou Elmaawy, viceprezidentkou Kenskej obchodnej a priemyselnej komory.

Štátna tajomníčka Ministerstva zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR Ingrid Brocková sa 6. a 7. marca 2022 zúčastnila na neformálnom zasadnutí rozvojového segmentu Rady EÚ pre zahraničné veci vo francúzskom meste Montpellier.
