Today 10 April 2024), the representatives of the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Hungary signed the minutes of the 15th session of the intergovernmental Mixed Slovak-Hungarian Commission for Minority Affairs in Budapest. The two sides agreed on 54 measures and recommendations in the fields of culture, education, economy and infrastructure aimed at improving the lives of Slovaks in Hungary and Hungarians living in Slovakia.
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár paid an official visit to Hungary on Wednesday, 20 December 2023. In Budapest he held talks with his partner, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó. They talked about opportunities for further development mainly in economic and cross-border cooperation.
State Secretary of the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry (MFEA SR) Marek Eštok paid a working visit to Hungary on 7 December 2023. In Budapest, he held negotiations with János Bóka, Minister for European Union (EU) Affairs and the Hungarian Prime Minister´s sherpa.
