On 16 January 2024, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Chovanec welcomed to Bratislava the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Slovakia Peter Nelson. The meeting confirmed bilateral interest in further strengthening mutual relations, particularly in the fields of science, research, innovations and education, as well as energy and smart solutions.

On 24 June, the Slovak Republic commemorates the Day of Remembrance and Respect to Victims of the Communist Regime - all those wrongly convicted and imprisoned between 1948 and 1989. On this date, 24 June 1954, a doctor, political prisoner and Catholic dissident Silvester Krčméry was unjustly convicted of alleged treason, after being tortured.

On Monday, 27 March 2023, the 21st Review Conference of Foreign and European Policy of the Slovak Republic was held at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
